Infogrames has now confirmed the release of GRAND PRIX CHALLENGE for the PlayStation 2. The game will be appearing in stores starting this weekend.
The game places players behind the steering wheel of a F1 formula race car, vying for first place along with 21 other drivers. Developed by Infogrames' Melbourne House for Atari, GRAND PRIX CHALLENGE features 17 different race tracks and five different race modes. As well, pit stops are now fully interactive and the car's crew can be controlled by the player. Game AI also factors into the race, with four different levels of computer playability being used right down to your opponent's personal driving traits and styles.
GRAND PRIX CHALLENGE carries a suggested retail price of $29.99.
