After filming 100 plus days of photography, "Spider-Man 3" officially wrapped earlier this month. Our journey began with a quick 10-day shoot from Saturday, November 5, 2005, to Friday, November 18, 2005. This time period was dedicated to three visual effects intensive sequences so Sony Pictures Imageworks could begin working on some of the more complicated CGI components of the movie. We employed a similar tactic on "Spider-Man 2," shooting the Ock hospital sequence and a lot of the plates for the Spidey/Ock train battle prior to principal photography. Just as it did on number two, the results of this VFX pre-shoot are really paying off and SPI has been able to get a head start on some extremely complex sequences.
