The Review!
You could call this my first anime dvd review, but I guess sounds cool since i expanded my personal collection. Anyhow, lets get to the point.

Easilly done, well transfered. Telesync is done smoothly throughout the record process. You can notice some noise around the background, but thats
really nothing to worry about. Vector filtering may have applied in some
close-up scenes to reduce noise and shading (where "watering" takes place).
Overall this is close to perfect and well re-mastered video stream.

No distortions at all for the japanese soundtrack. I noticed some small cuts in some action scenes, but could be from hardware. English soundtrack is kinda weird, since music channels has been stripped off to the center channel. Japanese track is preffered here.

Well-animated, I like the part firefiles wandering around. Gives you the creeps for a second there, but we'll live. Quick and easilly navigated.

Bulk-packed extras. Lots to see here, from interviews, trailers, critics even to previews. An excellent overall.

Ok this film in small words, makes you a "character". If you trully wanna see, or must see this, you need to see it with your friends because you never know what you will do after its end. This may sound crazy for you, but I personally hugged my 2 closest friends after watching it.

While it beggins from the ending, the story takes place with a boy. A boy strong enough to live through WWII which takes place in japan. After his mother killed in action, he decided to live with his younger sister at his aunt. But things in war dont go well as always, making him to live the house and live on a mine with his sister. This is where the saddness starts.

Everything in this story, is just... "life"... Making you value it.
A kid's death is far more worse than the death we know. In small words, the director is trying to give us a message... "live".
