Grave Robbing

When Robert A. Heinlein, one of the grandmasters of science fiction, died in 1988, generations of fans mourned the fact that they'd never again read new work from the man who had done so much to shape the genre.

Sure, fans rejoiced when, two years after his death, Del Rey published Grumbles from the Grave, a collection of Heinlein's correspondence selected and edited by his wife of 40 years, Virginia Heinlein. But as wonderful as it was, Grumbles wasn't new fiction. Soon, however, readers will once again get the chance to read a "new" book by the "father of science fiction."

"We're printing For Us, the Living," beams Marisa Stella, a publicist for Pocket Books. "It's too early to go into details of the edition, but you can expect to see it out early in 2004, possibly January."
