Brian Grazer, of Imagine Entertainment, will be working on a new drama for Fox Television. They're already the production company responsible for Fox's 24 which centers on the CTU. This new show being developed by Grazer will focus on the FBI, aptly titled FBI. They've already asked the real American agency for the rights to name the show that and will be working alongside them for "details" inside the job. This will be the first television show being done with the agency's cooperation since the 65-74 show, THE F.B.I. Though, I do remember some details about a lot of real feds helping with the program of Fox's X-FILES in the 90s even if that unit itself and the show's many supernatural layers is fictional.
While 24 is a serialized drama, FBI will not be.
"It will be strongly character driven and the procedural part of it will be secondary to the characters," says Brian Grazer."While '24' is heightened reality, this would be a realistic series that would have the intensity and realism of a Ridley Scott movie."
Plot Summary: "FBI" reflects the changing model of law enforcement post-Sept. 11 and centers on an Iraq War vet who is appointed as the new head of the FBI's Critical Incidents Response Group -- a division involved in a range of cases, including kidnappings, hostage negotiations, hostage rescue and evidence collection.

And what is this thing called "heightened reality"? Having that many personal issues by so many people on "the day of all day" like shown in 24 is more of a "lowered reality" or even "bad drama". Well, ok, maybe "heightened soap".
