Plot:

When aliens come to Earth and offer a suite with special powers to the hapless teacher Ralph, and Ralph looses the instructions, he must learn to fight crime with super powers he can hardly control and barely understand.

Stephen J. Cannell, the original producer/writer of the early 1980s superhero romp, and Disney were looking for a writer to bring the show up to date and up to big screen specs, when little-known Hernandez walked in with the original GREATEST AMERICAN HERO costume he'd borrowed from a friend, the original costume designer for the show. It got him the job, which will involve working with Cannell to produce a potential comedy/action franchise for the studio Mickey built. No word on whether original series stars William Katt or Connie Sellecca will make an appearance in the new version.
