Sony has released promotional images from the coming SPIDER-MAN movie that focus on the film's heavy, the Green Goblin.
Sony also gave some info on the green outfit Willem Dafoe, playing Norman Osborne, dons for his nefarious activities.
*The Green Goblin costume, created by designer James Acheson, is actually made out of 65 sculpted pieces bolted to pearlescent green vinyl. Sony says that Acheson drew inspirations for the design of the suit from sources including Japanese art prints, reptilian patterns, comic books and spacesuits.
*Like Willem Dafoe was quoted as saying yesterday, getting into the suit is liking putting toothpaste back in the tube. It actually took 30 minutes and three people to get Dafoe into the costume.
* The Goblin's Glider, which comic books fans are very familiar with, houses an arsenal of weapons, including machine guns, pumpkin bombs and mini-sidewinder missiles. It is also equipped with tridents that detach from the Glider for combat in close quarters.
