One episode of Big Bang Theory, they bring up the fact that Hal Jordan's weakness is yellow, and the golden age GL's weakness was wood...Raj asks if he could take them both out with a number 2 pencil...LOL

In the words of jay of Jay and Silent Bob "I think I just filled the cup"

This movie is going to kick ass. Ryan Reynolds is a greeat choice.... now get Bradley Cooper to be guy Gardner.

violator, the ring's power is only as strong as the wielder's will power. Plus originally the rings have to be recharged every 24 hours and were unable to do anything against yellow objects. Now the last two have changed from time to time but will power is the one constant.

And here we go!!!!!!! GL is going to kick-ass, no doubts now.

Footage looks better but still...It's still Ryan reynold. But even I'll admit..after this footage, I might see it in theatre.

I always wondered why Green Lantern one of the strongest super heroes in DC's universie paled around with one of the weakest super heroes in the DC univervise Green Arrow.  Was it because they both had green in their name?  I recall those great 70's political comics where Hal was the conservative and Ollie the liberal.  I can't remember why they were bumming across America.

Anyway, I've never been worried about the director (although, this is, by far, his biggest CGI film) and I hope he brings an edge to it (see Casino Royale and Edge of Darkeness.)  I've just been worried about Ryan playing it straight instead of the fast talking Van Wilder.  Although, it does appear that he is in that mode in the beginning...some scenes show a more somber Hal.  Yeah, I think Cooper would have been a much better choice, but Campbell proved me wrong with the choice of Craig as Bond.

Ryan Reynolds isnt a bad choice. I agree he would also be better as the flash. I'm glad that they clarified that this isnt going to be comedy piece but just a little bit of humor here and there. I'm 100% sold on this movie. I cant even say they could do worse than Reynolds (and they could) because saying this would mean he was terrible choice for which he is not.

For me my only gripe was that they should have cut his hair a tad shorter, other than that I think he can not only fit the Green Lantern Bill but any of the other films for which we all think he would be best at doing.

The Suit was never an issue for me, I think its awesome. Let's all breathe in the fact that they didnt pull a Bayformer on us. They have Rings that are Green, the suits are green and from what ive just seen they have brought the movie to a whole new Scifi level and for this I am already thankful even having not seen the movie.

Okay, watched it again...I can smell the movie popcorn now.  Looks fun.

That's what I'm talking about! Like most other fans my chief complaint about the first trailer was the level of humor. This one has more of the tone we all expected, plus the more refined FX. I am actually more geeked to see this now, though I was going to see it anyway.

Reynolds as Flash and Cooper as GL would have been the great choice, but  from Bradley Cooper's own comments on a talk show were that he tested for it half jokingly but really wasn't interested in it.
