As of the conclusion of last night's 'Smallville', the show goes on a mid-season hiatus until next January. But fans who tuned in last night got a glimpse of what's to come, including several big reveals from the upcoming "Absolute Justice" movie event, which features the Justice Society of America.
We already knew 'Smallville's JSA had Stargirl, Hawkman and Dr. Fate in it (and we must say Dr. Fate looks freakin' awesome in this trailer). But the trailer also reveals a few surprises like: Sandman and....The Green Lantern!?
That's right! It looks like the Green Lantern is arriving in 'Smallville' before he hits the big screen. Watch carefully for the blink-and-miss-it image of OGL Alan Scott's power ring. No telling if this is a flashback cameo or if he's involved in the main storyline, but you can bet we're tuning in!
We've captured some key frames from the trailer, but you can watch it for your own self if you prefer:

Even better they're staying true to the comic characters appearances...hopefully if those prove successfully translated we'll see more accurate (or at least accurately inspired) costumes on Smallville. I think Green Arrow is supposed to get a new look this season...maybe...
Also Sandman and Green Lantern (Alan Scott), awesome...
I caught that. I was surprised at how good Dr. Fate looked. Hopefully, Hawkman will look as good in live action. The still looked a little cheesy. I don't know too much about Sandman, but the costume looked pretty good. I want to know how they kept GL under wraps for so long! How did we not know he was going to make an appearance?
Some people love Smallville other just can't stand it. I have really enjoyed the entire work of Smallville, is it full of cheese at times? YES. But for a show to stick around 9 years they have done something right. I could pick out 30-40 episodes of the 170 shows that were A shows. There have been a few stinkers. But well done on a whole. Still think that next year GA should get his own show, he can take Chloe with him. Do one more season of SV that would focus on Clark and Lois. Or just go ahead and do a JLA show, because this movie may never happen. Give us a reboot on the Aquaman show, if you haven't seen the first episode buy in on Itunes. Justin Hartley (GA) was Aquaman, and the first show left me wanting to see another. I wish, wish, wish.... the dumb dumbs at WB would release Batman and start a new series next year called Gotham. How kickin would that be??? But... it won't happen. I wonder what would have happened if Bats had gone first 10 years ago... like it was supose to do.
Smallville freakin rocks .. Hands down best show on tv right now. This season is amazing thus far. I love how they are bringing in D.C. characters and I love the true costumes. Screw Cheesy. Wear the outfits the same if not 99.9% similiar to the comics. I hate when something is toned down. Or worse yet black plain leather.
Hawkman should look no other way then the way he is in the comics and im glad he's rockin that look for smallville. doctor fate is true to his comic appearance too. Kick ass !
Freakin sweet
