Monkey did it seem to you that Tess could have been subbed in for Barda, cause it kinda felt like that to me , it seemed Tess filled both Barda and Scott Free's roles.

I don't know who Blake Lively is, but I guess she looks Carol Ferris-ee enough.  As for the rest of the teaser clip, meh.  I'm less excited than I was before and I was never that excited about this one.  I would love to be proven wrong, but I'm betting that this is the third best superhero film we'll see next year.  I'd bet money it won't make anyone's top ten superhero film list.

Kilowog looks good, the cgi is hard to judge at the youtube resolution and the clips chosen to represent the story to audiences that likely know little about the character remind me of a cross between the Iron Man and Fantastic Four promos that came out for those films.  Let's hope this one is more IM than FF.

Ryan Reynolds isn't my first choice for this and never will be.  I can't call him an "actor" without mentally preceding it with the term with "comedic".  He's one note and an annoying one at that, at least in everything I've seen him in.

Robert Downey Jr. made the cocky Tony Stark superhero work because he's a great actor.  I just don't see Reynolds pulling off the same sort of performance.  I sincerely hope I'm wrong, since I'd truly love to see a great Green Lantern film this summer.  I really would.

Hamm is great, loved his bits on the 30 Rock live show, eaat and west...

I think he'd make a great President Luthor, if they don't get Bruce Willis for the part...

I've got a feeling that when they get around to making the Flash movie, they will combine the two characters into one, Wally West's character and Barry Allen's er... name...

Warner Bros. would probably baulk at having a lead character balled Wally West, stupid perhaps but that's Hollyweird for you...

Maybe Hamm would have been better as Hal Jordan, leaving Reynolds open for The Flash, oh well I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

The Wolverine sounds better all the time, though the idea of recasting Jackman because he'll look too old is weird because in the commics he has ALWAYS looked middle aged...

"The Batman" was the character's original name, the shortened Batman was a 1950s thing i think...

I guess Tess was like Barda in the sense that she was the one rebeling against Granny but that seems as far as it went. They've got a whole other storyline for her now being Lionel Luthor's daughter and Lex's sister.

It would be cool to put Scott Free, Barda and Oberon in an episode becuase I could see the potential of a spinoff in that. A handsome young escape artist using his otherworld tech to dazzle audiences and battle evildoers and various minions of Apokolips on the side. Along with his beautiful super strong girlfriend/wife and curmudgeonly comic relief assistant they could make a great show for the CW. No it wouldn't be anything on the massive budget deserving of the whole New Gods storyline but it can be easily tailored down to TV budget scales.

I also wasn't impressed with the Green Lantern footage. I hope that isn't the final footage and that they'll be touching up the CGI better. It looks like a poorly made TV series. I mean, I've seen BETTER CGI work on TV; including, but not limited to, Firefly, Battlestar Gallactica, etc.

And Reynolds was never my pick to play Hal Jordan. I always wanted Chris Pine. I always thought Reynolds would f*ck up the role by being too goofy. Again, hopefully what we got is not the finished product, but rather an incredibly small glimpse that doesn't really paint a good picture of what the movie WILL be like.

If i understand the concept correctly, Hals coctume looks more and more real throughout the movie as he gets a better grasp using the ring.

HOWEVER what theyve shown here does not impress me........

I STILL HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR MY FAVORITE HERO THOUGH.....PLEASE BE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Green lantern looks awful.  I hope these were just the raws and not the final render.  I guess I'll have to wait for the first official trailer to make my mind.
