EW.com's Michael Ausiello teases that we might see Tom Welling don the iconic Superman costume in the upcoming season of 'Smallville'.
When asked for scoops in his recent column, Ausiello says, "The iconic 'S' symbol will be all over the show in season 9. Including on Clark's chest."
Ausiello also addressed rumors that there is some kind of 'Smallville' movie entitled 'Metropolis' in the works.
"My peeps at Warner Bros. are still insisting that
some drunk fan probably made that up nothing like that is being discussed at the moment."
UGO.com has a high-quality image from some toy packaging of what they say is the 'G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra' version of Destro. The image comes straight off the back of a toy shipment they received from Hasbro.
It looks to us pretty similar to the classic Destro of old. Click through and see for yourself.
The Comics Continuum reports that fans can watch for an animated 'Jonah Hex' short in the near future. The mini will apparently arrive with the home video release of one of the upcoming DCU animated features like 'Green Lantern: First Flight' or 'Superman/Batman: Public Enemies'.
Joe R. Lansdale, creator of 'Bubba Ho Tep' and writer of many great Jonah Hex comics in the 1990s, is penning the script for the film.
The Continuum could not get confirmation from Warner Bros, but we know the site has numerous moles embedded deep in the animation biz so the 'Hex' toon is a likely bet.

Fans on the internet have been wondering over the question of who will be the big-screen 'Green Lantern' for months now.
Last night The Hollywood Reporter ran a story suggesting that the studio has narrowed the list to a final three: Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds and Justin Timberlake.
Reynolds seems to be a name dropped on every potential superhero projects these days, although there hasn't been a lot of past rumor-mongering that attaches him to this specific project.
The big surprise is Justin Timberlake, who's name got floated by the internet rumor-mill only yesterday, just hours ahead of the Reporter's story. While many fans have been bristling and the attachment, Timberlake has actually been building a credible acting resume over recent years, with buzz-worthy roles in 'Alpha Dog and 'Black Snake Moan'.
According to the report, Warner Bors had arranged a holding deal with the actors (that is, they agreed to hold off on taking other parts) although that deal expired on Monday. So now, the studio needs to close with one of them before all three move on to other projects. However director Martin Campbell, producer Donald De Line and the suits at Warner Bros each like a different guy, hence the delay in making a decision.
The Reporter also claims that the projected budget for the sci-fi heavy movie is between $150 million and $200 million and WB isn't ready to commit to that price tag.
What do you think, Maniacs? Should Green Lantern have a hangover? Should he be an ab-crunching jackass? Or should he have his d*** in a box? Post your comments below...
