You must follow the three rules or the rumors of more Gremlins will return. Despite the long-awaited return of those pesky creatures being planned for over a decade, Jim over at Marketsaw confirmed last summer's reports of development moving forward over at Warner Bros. Pictures. The website doesn't make it clear whether it will be a remake or a third installment but says another Gremlins movie is coming to the silver screens and it will be in stereoscopic 3D. It's reportedly in the early stages with still lots of hurdles to pass, but it is being developed.
For his part, original director Joe Dante suggested to Empire last summer that it would probably be more of a remake than a direct sequel to the first two films. And original screenwriter and story creator Chris Columbus said he probably wouldn't be involved if it happened.
The first film found its way into theaters on July 8, 1984 (the same release date as Ghostbusters). It debuted in 2nd place with an opening weekend of $12 million and would go on to gross $148.1 million in theaters.
Thanks to gauleyboy420 for the submission.

I kind of hope they go for the remake instead of a sequel. Too many sequels after so many years have just gone horribly wrong for me.
