I love me some GTA3, but lets hope they finally update the graphics engine, especially the explosions... I want a GTA with the graphics quality and physics of HALO!!!

That'd be something alright. Just how huge will the game world be this time? I don't know many people who weren't shocked, surprised or elated to find San Andreas was so much bigger than the previous entries in the series. And NO load times!!!

I hope that they somehow, make it a multi character game, where you can pick from like Vercetti or the dude in the first one. Maybe have it where you can travel to Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas, to complete missions. They did it in SA, but it was only for like one mission.

Um, isn't it more like Grand Theft Auto 6?

It depends on if you count the GB and PSP versions.

As for Ponyboy, I'm totally with you. The more "real" it gets, the more I like it. Maybe even try to Sims it a little, to where you can actually choose things like height and hair color, skin tone, etc... maybe even be able to pick the sex, have an actor and an actress both do the dialogue (if they get a good script they should only need minor changes to the overall story...depends on if they go Mafia like the originals or Gangsta like SA) and then make all the "girlfriends/boyfriends" be bi so you can have total control over your characters choices.

...

With the tease of multiplayer they had in GTA San Andreas, they'd better not only up the graphics but include a full multiplayer, online and off.

Anyways, by the time GTA 4 comes out for PS3, I'll still be paying for my PS3.

No, it doesn't. suaw1211 meant that there has been a GTA1, GTA2, GTA3, GTA Vice City, and a GTA San Andreas. Those were all full length and fully featured games. So, a new GTA game would actually be the sixth in the franchise as far as consoles go.

Would be nice if they included online support as well, perhaps even a MMORPG style system. A persistent world covering several vast cities, where you can form your own gangs, control your own turf, battle other online gangs, take on co-op missions, etc.

brimtown--I read in Gamespot.com that Rockstar was employing online programmers for the next GTA--and what with the 360 and PS3 online capabilities I wouldn't be surprised if it was a MMORPG and you had the ability to customize your main character.
