 Not sure about this one. But, then again, I'm not overly familiar with these characters or their stories. I was hoping for something more serious. But, outside of IM2, Marvel hasn't let me down. So, I'll more than likely see in the theatre when it comes out.

I think alot of you guys are a little spoiled when it comes to John C Reilly. lately he has done alot of comedic ventures. but until about 10 years ago he was only a genre actor and had small roles in films with only  a few scant supporting roles here and there. as far as the tone of the film it feels to me like Chris Pratt is a perfect fit for the overall tone of the film and compliments James Gunn's directing style. still there will be some of you who dont get it and thats probably because you arent familiar with the source material. to which i say Brush up kiddies! at least read 1 issue of the current GotG books to get a feel for the tone.

 Looks like teh suck.

aaaaaand cue the haters. haha! I'm hopeful about this.  They made the first trailer comical but they gotta hooke the non comic readers as well. We all know there's gonna be plenty of serious, action packed moments as well.  I'm starting to look forward to this more than Cap 2.  At least it's characters we've NEVER seen on the big screen.  Whoop whoop!

This is why I prefer Marvel movies over WB/DC; they're not pretentious and bland looking.  Lighten up a bit DC; your flagship character is an alien from a planet that is all blowed up.  There is nothing real about that whatsoever; lighten up and have some fun with your characters for a change.

I don't know anything about this property but this movie looks like it is going to be a great deal of fun.

I'm stoked, loved it. It's been my most anticipated film since it was announced and nothing has disappointed me.

Diggin the Nova Corps, hopefully helmets will be part of the uniforms.

Wanted to see Ronan

And yeah a little more Rocket would go a long way but being that he's cgi it's possible that they're still rendering a good portion of his role and possibly hasn't been synced to Cooper's voice

Ah man...What can I say? This movie will be super fun to see and the kids will enjoy seeing the great sfx, action and of course humour. Something lacking in the Manslaughter of Steel.

It is a big budget Farscape. Shhhh....  :)

Peter Quill = Jon Crichton (earth guy with one liners)

Gamora = Aeryn Sun (emotionless ass kicker)

Drax = Ka D'argo (big muscle warrior)

Groot= Zhannt (plant species)

Rocket = Rygel (small creature)

Yeah, this looks like it will be fun.  Even though I'm a big marvel guy, never really cared about the space stuff like GOTG or Silver Surfer. But this looks like it will be a movie that will be humorous and action packed.  It will be a franchise Disney will be able to run with.  Plus its part of the Marvel Universe, but it doesn't have to impact whats going on in that section at all.  Thumbs up so far.  No hating here.

I nearly peed my pants when "Hooked on a Feeling" started playing!

ElBaz, LOL! Yeah, that was the immediate sense I got from it.  But I read some Starlord (Quill) in the early 80s (Specifically, the John Byrne drawn epic), and at that time he had Ship, his living spaceship that also loved him. She was alot like Moya on Farscape. Is that removed from the character now that he's with GOTG?
