For record the FF movie was a Fox movie and Marvel had little if anything to do with it. And was made years before Marvel had the balls, the brains, and the backing of Disney to form their own studio. This movie is just another example of Marvel thinking outside the box. Most of the reactions to the trailer that I've read have been positive. Marvel has had so many successes the movie going public is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt even if it's a character or group of characters that they may not be familiar with.

dough you must have forgotten that Fox has the rights to Fantastic Four so Marvel isn't to blame for that movie. Fox is making a FF reboot for 2015 which will probably also be horrible. I can't wait to see this movie. Between this and the upcoming Dr Strange for phase 3 Marvel is just kicking the crap out of DC!

So we finally have a look at what I like to call Marvel's Cosmic plan B.  I call it that because I'm pretty sure in Marvel's heart of hearts they would much rather be doing a Silver Surfer movie instead. This occured to me back when the rights to Daredevil were reverting back to Marvel, they tried to get the rights to the Surfer in exchange for DD. Fox didn't bit.  And since Avengers its been clear Marvel wanted to go cosmic with the MCU all along.   The Surfer would have been the natural choice.

Thats not to say Guadians of the Galaxy is going to be bad.  In fact, this property isn't saddled with intense fan expectaions that other superhero properties have like Superman.   So yeah, looks like they're having some fun with it. Good for them  (and us).   '

I mean really, I don't think you can make a Dark Knight style film where one of your main character's a talking tree and another is a talking racoon.

This looks great! Chris Pratt is perfect for this.  Can't wait for the box office to prove it. Suck it haters.

The thing about the "a-holes" line that bothers me is that it's an odd self-censoring that I feel someone in that position would not likely say. It pulls me out of the moment to say "Hey, we wanted to say a%%holes, but Disney won't let us."

It'd be like him saying, "What the h-e-double hockey sticks?" instead of "What the hell?"

But, again, be that as it may, I think this looks like a fun movie. I'm all for humor in my action movies.

It's not self-cesnoring, he is in the Nova Corps, so he is supposed to be a stuck up prick... Even their computers censor things!

Wiseguy 2/19/2014 3:51:31 PM

If "a-hole" bothers you I don't know what to say except that you're reaching. That's a widely used term, even amongst friends. Just like "eff you", both can get the message across without seeming too vulgar and are widely used

 Fuck yes bring it!!!!

I'm pretty sure they are just censoring it for the trailer. I remember seeing the footage at Comic Con last year and he said a$$holes, the full word without censoring. Since this is a green band trailer, they aren't gonna leave it in there. Yeah, I'd prefer they take it out completely but it does help give the general audience a feel for the movie.

Well, I'll agree with the trailer in one respect, they do sound like a bunch of A holes.
