In the latest update to the blog on the official HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY website, executive producer Robbie Stamp welcomes readers and reassures them that the movie will remain true to the roots of Douglas Adams' classic novel. "Every version of HITCHHIKER'S has been slightly different and this movie is no exception," explains Stamp in the blog. "[The movie] features several major new additions to the plot that Douglas himself introduced in scripts penned shortly before he passed away in 2001."
Director Garth Jennings and producer Nick Goldsmith also added to the blog with the latest movie news. "We are in our fourth week of shooting and with the first fifteen minutes of the film in the can, we are now on the Heart of Gold set!" said the pair. "Everyone involved from the cast and crew have been an incredible help getting us to this point."
A short video showing Warwick Davis in a costume test for the Marvin robot suit is also appearing on the movie's website, which you can download from here.
THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY will open in theaters next summer.
