Scooby Dooscreenwriter James Gunn told MovieHole.netthat he is no longer involved with the development of the Spy Vs. Spymovie. The long-in-development-hell film version of Mad Magazine'sstrip was previously to be directed by Meet The Parents and AustinPowers helmer Jay Roach.
However, neitherGunn nor Roach are presently working on the film according to the site."I'm not still involved -- I was involved when Jay Roach was, right before[Scooby Doo]", the screenwriter told MovieHole.
Internet rumorsof a renewed development effort on Spy Vs. Spy broke out over theweekend. However Aint-It-Cool-Newsnow reports that those rumors are false.
