A hairy DVD

It must be Tuesday because of all the new DVDs hitting store shelves. Among the titles being offered today is a direct-to-video werewolf movie distributed by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment known as DARKWOLF.

The biggest name in DARKWOLF horror fans will probably recognize is Kane Hodder, the man who played Jason in the last four FRIDAY THE 13th films (that's including JASON X). Hodder plays the titular creature in question, a werewolf who's looking to continue his bloodline -- and has set his eyes on the pretty Josie (Samaire Armstrong) as his mate. Standing in his way are Detectives Turley (Ryan Alosio) and McGowan (BAYWATCH's Jaime Bergman) who try and protect Josie from the Darkwolf, and protect themselves from her unpredictable "changes". Fans of Alred Hitchcock's THE BIRDS should also keep their eyes peeled for a quick appearance by Tippi Hedren.

The DVD also includes a making of featurette, blooper reel and trailer. The disc's list price is $34.99.
