Halloween DVD Releases Already in the Works

Many of the video distributors have announced their Halloween titles. Most are just re-pricings of earlier releases, but there are some goodies in store. MGM will offer a 25th anniversary DVD of Brian DePalma's CARRIE which boasts some 2 hours of additional material, as well as DePalma's DRESSED TO KILL, enhanced with new interviews with the director and several cast members. MGM will also release a DVD of the Chiodo Brothers delightful KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE which will feature 2 1/2 hours of extras provided by the Chiodos themselves.
Universal will release a HALLOWEEN II Special Edition on 9/18. The disc features a new, widescreen transfer as well as a commentary from director Rick Rosenthal (who is reportedly directing the next entry in the series) and some deleted footage. Doesn't ßsound like too bad a package. Too bad its such a mediocre films.
