GameSpot is reporting that Microsoft has confirmed will push the release date of HALO 2 for PC to May 22nd.

A company rep reports the release date was changed "to make some improvements to the install experience and address other technical issues."

The game was originally developed by Bungie Software, but HALO 2 for the PC was turned over to Hired Gun - a new team that was formed within Microsoft Game Studios to develop the game. HALO 2 will only run on Windows Vista.

. . .
I was like - well, got it for my XBOX but being able to play it online WITHOUT XBOX Live (which I never HAVE, and never WILL, purchase) might be cool -

then I read the "Vista only" tag, and realized "crap - that means it'll be playable online through that XBOX / VISTA LIVE network crap."

Blech.

Pass. Not that big an FPS fan anyway.

I hear you Merin...but I also think "who'd want to play this on the computer anyway?"

Halo and Halo 2 are two of my all time addictive greats.

Heh yeah it is a little late. I figure it is just for some more PRs about Halo before Halo 3. It could be quite fun to play with the Xbox 360 controller though, but I could do that with my Xbox 360.

If someone ever buys a script or such from me, or if RPM Films makes a good showing of Isolation, I'll get me an XBOX 360. And most everyother game console. Sure.

But still no XBOX Live. Trashtalking != fun, at least for me. And I like playing games with friends, not random people.
