Actually, they own part of Crunchyroll but to me that makes it seem worse since they don't seem to worry about infringing on other peoples property.

I disagree. Looking at the comparison of TGWLTT, you can really see a lot less edge enhancement and ringing in the pool and cloud scenes in the BR disc pictures. The bubble pic looks a lot cleaner as well. I can only imagine how good the audio will sound.
