Well, if there's any recasting, I always thought Joe Flanigan from Stargate Atlantis was always strongly reminiscent of Harrison Ford.

Thanks to ElBaz13 for the submission.

Bradley Cooper as Han (I'd give you Fillion, but just mentioning his name means he won't get it, poor guy), Ryan Gosling or Nick Stahl as Luke, Lynn Collins as Leia. I know we're not going to get Heir to the Empire, but imagine Fassbender as Thrawn...
I can see it now: first Chris Pine is Captain Kirk...now Luke Skywalker haha
The secret is out: Disney actually is planning a REBOOT of the saga.
Robert Pattinson is Luke (to cross over the Twilight tweeners)
Lindsay Lohan is Leia (gotta replace a coke head with a coke head)
Joseph Gordon Levitt is Han (why, because he is popping up everywhere)
Ian McKellan is Obi Wan (#1 he's the ultimate wizard; #2 he's gay, and it is now required in Hollywood to have at least one prominant gay character per production)
Chris Hemsworth is Chewie, only blonde
R2D2 and C3PO are totally CGI; C3PO is voiced by Chris Tucker
When they get to Hoth in the rebooted EP V, Luke discovers in the cave of the Wampa a frozen Chris Evans in a very familar star-spangled uniform . . .
I see no reason why ep 7 can't be set 30 years after ep 6, after all the gap between 3 & 4 is nearly 20 years. Then that leaves lots of room for the next cgi animated series to explore the early days of the New Republic. It'd be cool if Ford and Fisher returned, but I'd consider Hamill a more likely casting for the new films.
I like the idea of Luke being an old man and running the new Jedi council, with an entire generation of new Jedi policing the Republic. Have him, C3P0, R2-D2, and maybe Chewbacca be holdovers from the original trilogy, but have an entirely new cast the rest of the way. There's no need to have Han and/or Leia come back except as fan services, so give us a whole new tale of heroism, redemption, and deception.
Why can't we have Heir to the Empire? It would make perfect sense to me. I mean, that more or less restarted the whole thing. Everything we've gotten since then was sparked by the success of that trilogy.
Ford will not return, Fisher is probably not either. Hamill as an Obi-Wan like role to show some cohesiveness and push the plot forward? maybe. other than that I wouldn't expect any other returning characters, except for the DROIDS...the ultimate glue of the saga.
