I don't think you could include the EU stuff without the new film trilogy being hamstrung worse than the the prequels were.

This is a no brainer, not only is he perfect for at his age but he can even where an Obi-wan type of beard, perfect. All he needs to do is lose a few pounds (which I'm sure he can do) and add a little makeup to take away a few wrinkles and walla "instant Jedi Master." As for the rest, theyre gonna need some makeup too! But you got to have Mark Hamill reprise his role! This is the decision (atleast for me) whether I fork up any money to see this! 

They are going to have to get Carrie and Mark fit for their age.  Ford can still pass as an old bad ass but the other two have definitely not aged as well.  It would be awkward to see an old, overweight jedi and princess. 

 ddiaz28,  their age and weight would be realistic.  Neither one are in terrible shape, and who's to say what these characters would be like after 30 years?  i can't believe the physical hang ups some of you have.

I'd say the physical shape of these actors are VERY important. Luke getting older just like Obi-Wan is one thing but having him be out of shape at the age of what, 55-60? would in my opinion fit the part very badly. I'm personally really concerned about the fact that Ford is 70 and apparently very tired of the whole acting thing (Especially considering his extremely lackluster performances in both the last Indy installment and in Cowboys vs. Aliens). He can't even put on a believable fake grin anymore which was one of Han Solo's top trademarks in the Original Trilogy. The only one of the Big Three (Hamill, Ford and Fisher) who I really care to see in these new movies is Mark Hamill. Sure, Luke clearly NEEDS to be in there but that obvious fact aside I'm also affraid that Hamill is the only one of them who'll manage to resurrect his Star Wars persona in a way that's both interesting and true to the character. Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

 damn, i think this is going to knock down Avatar,  Avenvers, and titanic, TDK, ironman , transformers, from box office kings'. i bet this will reach a billion faster than any movie ever..If the orivinal cast comes back, if not i still see this reaching the Billion $, mark no problem...

The thing with Hamil looking unift is he's supposed to be Jedi warrior and I don't imagine those going being out of shape.

Well being a jedi is more about mental capabilities and will than actual fitness. Ben was old in SW, the Emperor wasn't running around soI think Hamill will do just fine. Plus I'm sure they'll all hit the gym before filming

The one that worries me is Fisher, she looked like a truck. And if her attitude remains the way she comes across in some shows then I doubt she'd care enough to make the sacrifice to get fit
