Ah, calm down, Axia...agreed, very stupid article, but I don't see Disney even considering something like that.  I thought they did make an interesting point though - too many young actors today really do fit too easily into metrosexual - femme range.  If they're not femme, they're muscle-bound meatheads.  If they're not muscle-bound meatheads, they're anorexic or obese nerds.  Seriously, whatever happened to the everyman?

They CAN'T mess it up. Nothing could be as bad as the prequels. Battle Beyond The Stars is a masterpiece compared to the prequels. The more Star Wars the better, it's a big universe and doesn't need to follow one storyline. Star Trek has had several different sets of characters and storylines and almost fifty years later is going strong. George Lucas created a great universe, time to explore it in more than one storyline

Okay and just in case someone reads that wrong I mean Battle beyond the stars sucked bad.  And that the commenet was just mean, and that I loved the comment.  Not that I loved Battle beyond the stars.

 Well I don't know how good the movie will be, but as for the actor playing Han maybe he could be CGI like Flynn was in Tron.  Not only was Tran a Disney movie, but it has been a couple of years since it came out, so the technology has only improved since that time.  Harrison Ford could supply the voice over and boom younger Han Solo.

 I don't know, if they really have their minds set on doing movies like this, I would kind of rather they do some really good CGI animated movies.  Not the standard Disney or Pixar CGI animation, but maybe somewhere between standard Disney animation and the sort of animation used in that awful (but AWESOME looking) Final Fantasy movie.

I personally don't like the idea of making ANY recast-dependent prequel Star Wars movies (which also may be the only advantage of the previously rumored Yoda spinoff), but this was inevitable. Solo and Fett are the only Star Wars characters who have enough mojo to justify making a standalone movie (which of course implies including Chewie and Lando as well). But while the script should have the potential of delivering one of the best sci-fi fantasy plots in movie history, they'll have just a little over 0.001% chance of finding two actors who can actually fill the shoes of Ford and Williams. I'm not saying they will not do a great job but they just won't be Solo and Lando. The only time I've seen that stunt pulled off was with the recent re-casting of Bilbo in The Hobbit. That was ONE dude! If they're also planning on removing Fetts helmet again we'll have to make that THREE recast actors (And on a side note I'd personally rather have Chewbacca remove his furry big-foot costume and go skinny dipping in the Death Star Imperial Dignitary Spa than ever having to see Boba Fett portrayed as a puny human again). To sum it up - Good luck Disney! You're gonna need it... 

@ Violator - I guess this news didn't really help wake you from your little snooze back in the Yoda thread (or maybe it was my cunning trash-talk about your favorite childhood mutant that made you doze off)? Hang in there man, they might just make that movie happen some day. After all, Yoda is the only being in the galaxy who actually eats midi-chlorians for breakfast!... ;)

WTF does this mean? Start fresh? How? I am not sure if I get a good or bad feeling from that.

However they decide to approach any new Star Wars movie, I hope that JJ has a good script to work with this time (unlike the one he had with Star Trek) and doesn't employ the shaky camera BS!!  I'm so tired of that!!
