NBC’s Hannibal has its leading lady.
EW confirms Wonderfalls star Caroline Dhavernas will reunite with Bryan Fuller, who helms the adaptation, as she takes on the role of Dr. Alana Bloom, an FBI consultant and psychology professor.
The ex-Off The Map star, whose casting was announced by Fuller on Twitter, joins the already announced cast of Laurence Fishburne, who plays FBI Behavioral Sciences Unit leader Jack Crawford; Hugh Dancy, who plays FBI agent Will Graham; and Mad Mikkelsen, who takes on the title role. Per the story, Bloom knows Will, but fears for his safety after he’s recruited by Crawford.
The 13-episode serial killer thriller will air in midseason.

Thanks to Chopsaki for the submission.

Had to do the google because I've never heard of her. She is quite attractive but that is the prerequiste for a starlet.

I'm curious to see how this show will work.

In the books, particularly RED DRAGON, Blom is a minor character... and his name is "Alan," I think.  Either way, he's a man in the books.  I can understand the change, though.  Graham has a wife in the book RED DRAGON (who has a kid of her own, but it's not Wil's, I don't think), but she's not a very important or significant character in the grand scheme of things.

I am very very skeptical that NBC or any network would allow this show to be as mature and as depraved as it needs to be to succeed.

Isn't this why we have Dexter?

Like the cast here, especially Mads. That dude is cooler than the other side of the pillow.

I'm sorry, I thought it said Hannibal EATS leading lady.

The reason I'm not excited by this project is because it isn't being produced on a Showtime, AMC, or FX.  NBC?  A watered down show about a serial killer?  I have to agree with you DaveFu50.
