Mania Review: The Phantom Menace in 3D (Article) - 2/10/2012 10:32:17 AM

Wyld, I gotta remain optimistic for some Carl Jr so I can say "Fu.ck you, I'm eating!".

Violator, don't forget that Yoda quit like a little beeyotch when he fought Sidious at the end of Episode 3.  He fell a couple of stories in that final battle, got up as if nothing had happened, looked up and said "Eff this sh.it, that black robed mofo be shooting lighting outta his hands. I can't deal with that sh.it. I'm getting up out here in my little flying car."  Yoda EPIC FAIL all around yo!

Monkeyfoot, of course they won't complain.  At the rate we are going, decades from now we will have reached "Idiocracy" and be ruled by President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.

Karate Kid Sequel Finds Writer (Article) - 2/8/2012 11:08:16 AM

I wonder if the sequel will pick up right after the first one, and they'll have Jackie Chan honk the other sensei's nose out in the parking lot.  They really need to work the honking of the nose somewhere in the sequel or what's the point.

Karate Kid Sequel Finds Writer (Article) - 2/8/2012 11:01:48 AM

The original Karate Kid is awesome, especially the final fight.

"sweep the leg", then you had one of Cobra Kai douchebag members screaming "Get him a body bag, yeaaah", and "no mercy" to Johnny.  Plus the Cobra Kai master screaming "finish him" only to have LaRusso pull the "crane kick" to pull out the win.  Dope all around yo!

The Geek Life: The Blockbuster Video Scavenger (Article) - 2/8/2012 10:28:02 AM

True that, I'm purchasing waaaaaay less movies as well cause I wasn't really watching them, I even got a few still wrapped up.   Now I'll pick stuff up only on Blu Ray if they are really cheap or if its a sequel to something I missed at the theatre and know that I will enjoy.  For example, I skipped the last three Harry Potter flicks and just waited for them to arrive on Blu Ray.  Anyway, with Netflix I don't really see the need to purchase flicks since I can just order whatever I want to see.  Only drawback is I can't watch it at the exact moment unless its on On Demand.

I'll only buy if I consider them to be cheap like I did with the Scream trilogy ($18) and Matrix Collection ($25 for 4 movies) or if they include a movie theatre coupon for something I want to watch.  For example, I bought Role Models in the summer cause it included $10 to see Bridesmaids I believe.  I figure if I'm already going to pay to see the movie might was well get a free Blu out of it.

But back to Trate's article, in addition to movies like Trate mentioned you can also purchase some movie merchandise for cheap at those blockbusters.  I remember that when the one next to me closed I got a TDK Joker and Batman bobblehead for $5 each, and they were originally priced at $15.  Side note, I saw the same Joker bobblehead a couple of months ago at Port Authority in NYC for like $40 I belive.

CHRONICLE Edges Past Black (Article) - 2/6/2012 1:53:29 PM

Chronicle was short, how could it have unnecessary stuff in there?  If there was anything that needed to be cut out it would've been the blonde chick's subplot with Drew's cousin, not Drew's stuff.

While Chronicle is a "found footage" type flick its definitely not "shaky cam".  I thought it was fine.

Hobbs, Underworld 4?  Man, go see Chronicle is what you need to do.

Webb Talks Spider-Man (Article) - 2/6/2012 1:47:50 PM

I'm hoping the first person 3D sequences kick ass and are like one of those Disney/Universal rides.  That'd be hella sweet.

Super Bowl Spots Online (Article) - 2/6/2012 1:45:34 PM
