Director Renny Harlin (CLIFFHANGER, THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT) is in talks to helm the film THE KILLER'S GAME for Intermedia. The project, based on a novel by Jay Bonansinga and adapted by Rand Ravich, is about a hitman who wants to commit suicide by taking out a hit on his own life. But when the hitman finds out he's soon to be a father, he has a change of heart and wants to life -- but he's now got to stay ahead of the assassins gunning for him. To further complicate matters (doesn't that always happen in the movies?), the fella must go on the run now with his pregnant girlfriend in tow. Wacky hijinks ensue.
The production company hopes to start filming sometime this fall. Harlin worked with Intermedia before on MINDHUNTERS, a thriller that's now been pushed back to 2004.
