The Internet Movie Database is reporting that J. K. Rowling's next HARRY POTTER novel is finished at last. HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX should be in the hands of millions of eager readers during the first half of next year.

It looks as though this one is going to be even longer than the last.
The site quotes Rowling as saying, "At the moment it's 38 chapters. I'm really pleased with it. I'm just going to tweak it a tiny bit more, then the publishers will have it."

The second movie in the phenomenally popular series, HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS, is released this Friday.
