A new first look clip has arrived online for Warner Bros.' upcoming sequel Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince courtesy of the Today show in Australia. The clip, which features a lot of the action that will take place, has the main stars talking about what to expect in this sixth title of the best selling franchise. The film's ensemble cast stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Jim Broadbent, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, David Thewlis, Julie Walters, David Bradley, Jessie Cave, Frank Dillane, Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, Helen McCrory, Natalia Tena, Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Bonnie Wright. Director David Yates was tasked again to direct the film, based on a screenplay by Steven Kloves.

You can check out the new clip here.

Plot Summary: Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn’t counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates! And then there's Hermione, simpering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will hit standard and IMAX theaters July 17, 2009.

Just finished working on the 3D IMAX version a few weeks ago and from what I got to see, which were the beginneng and ends of the film, it's looking pretty good.  I'm always excited for these films.

Don't worry Starlight, there was absolutely nothing new.  We've seen these trailers months ago.  Just different people talking about what we've already seen.

I'm wondering how this is gonna play out on film.  The book had a lot of back story if I remember correctly with all the pensieves of Voldemort's memory Harry & Dumbledore go to.

The ending should be pretty good though.

I thought it looked damn good. I think WB made a very smart move moving the release of this film to the summer and it's going to pay huge dividends.

hey thanks almostunbiased

I never get to watch anything that goes up online....

I've seen the various trailers, thanks to Reelz Channel...hell I have one on a blank tape around here somewhere.....it and the trailer for Angels and Demons, so I get to watch them over and over and over and over....

but I'm really curious about how they'll put together Deathly Hallows. Rowling really outshone even herself with that one.
