There are some muggles the English police and author J.K. Rowling would like to catch. Over this past weekend thieves stole 7,680 copies of HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, nipping them from a Merseyside warehouse sometime during the night of June 15. The truck used for the heist was recovered by English authorities sans the Harry tomes.

The crime is big news for avid readers who can't wait to get their mitts on a copy. However, the police are issuing a warning not to buy any of the stolen merchandise if they don't want to be charged too.

HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX goes on sale this coming Saturday, with some stores opening at 12:01 A.M. to offer the books to Potter fans. An unbelievable 6.8 million copies of PHOENIX are shipping to retail stores.
