Something about this just sounds good to me.

Three months after director Rob Minkoff (The Forbidden Kingdom) was signed to return to the Asian locale for Chinese Odyssey, Variety reports the helmer has signed James V. Hart (Contact) to flesh out the script for the fantasy adventure. The first major feature to be financed by Chinese financing and set to be shot there, Minkoff will be shooting with 3D technology.
Plot Concept: "'Chinese Odyssey' is a supernatural high-seas adventure that pits our hero against an onslaught of deadly foes on the path to fulfilling his destiny," Minkoff said. "It's a story involving ancient mysteries, deadly sea monsters, great characters and larger-than-life adventures, which all make for a fantastic cinematic experience. The opportunity to film again in China is an added thrill."
Who is "our hero"? Will he be using Chan or Li again or will it be another Asian star?
Knowing Hollywood, they'll probably cast someone like Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He seems to be the new go-to guy after Inception...
another version of clash of the titans with chineese mythical creatures?
