We had a little bit news pop up in the city of our East Coast office. Kurt Russell (Death Proof, Big Trouble in Little China) appeared on My Fox Philly promoting a new documentary titled The Battered Bastards of Baseball, of which is is directly involved with. In the wrap up of the interview, Russell went through what he is working on next and dropped this bomb:
"There's a Tarantino project called The Hateful Eight that looks like it may go somewhere around the beginning of the year."
So it looks as if Quentin Tarantino may be over the fact that his script for the project leaked online. I didn’t read it, do you? Hearing that he was not going to make yet another western was a huge blow. Here is what we do know about the project so far.
“steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere."
Originally Christoph Waltz was attached to the film, as was Bruce Dern. Let’s hope The Hateful Eight makes its way to the big screen.FOX 29 News Philadelphia | WTXF-TV
