It could be complete nonsense, but Cinemablend is reporting that former Darth Vader, Hayden Christiansen, is set to play Superman in the 'Justice League' movie. We here at Comics2Film feel about 90% certain the news is nothing more than a hoax.
The source? An anonymous tipster called "Candace" who allegedly ran into Adam Brody at a bar in Vancouver (this presumes that the actors for the film are already gathering there after the Australian tax brouhaha). Supposedly Brody mentioned the surprise casting during some drunken flirting with the girl.
However, we have serious doubts about Candace. The news broke on the same day that we here at C2F HQ received a tip from a "Candace". The tip we received was about a completely different actor on a completely different movie, but written in the same style as Cinemablend's scooper report.
It's possible that Candace may be plugged in to the goings on of one young actress (as she describes in our email) while also randomly bumping into another young actor (as in the above), both of which happen to be involved with superhero movie projects.
Or (and we're leaning towards this scenario) some young prankster is having fun sending out bogus tips to movie gossip sites and seeing who runs what.
For now, C2F has to presume the Hayden Christiansen story is a hoax.
