HD IRON MAN Comic Con Trailer Sept 10

By: Jarrod Sarafin, News Editor
Date: Wednesday, September 05, 2007
Source: Jon Favreau's Official Blog

Two weeks ago, director Jon Favreau promised us that an official trailer incorporating the footage of San Diego Comic Con 2007 would be available soon after so many downloads of the bootlegged version. He said the footage would be in High Definition standards and would available both on television and online. This morning, Favreau blogged the official release of that promise complete with a listings of what times the new trailer footage will be airing on TV. The television trailer will be airing on certain channels on September 10. The online version will hit Apple Trailers on September 11. Here's what he had to say on it.

For those of you who have been Jonesing to see the Comic Con footage, we now an official teaser trailer that incorporates much of the same imagery. Paramount is debuting the piece in its entirety across the Viacom Network's highest rated programs. The first appearance will be immediately before the Hills on MTV on 9/10. I've listed the schedule of other slots that Paramount marketing has sent me below.

A hi-res version will appear on Apple.com/trailers on 9/11 for those of you who, for whatever reason, choose not to TiVo The Hills.

Comedy Central: The Daily Show 10-Sep
MTV: The Hills 10-Sep (the break leading into the show)
Spike TV : CSI 11-Sep
VH1: The Rock Life 10-Sep
BET: Baldwin Hills 11-Sep
CMT : Trick My Truck 10-Sep
Logo : Rick & Steve 11-Sep
MTV2: Room 401 10-Sep
NAN : Fresh Prince 10-Sep
The N: Fresh Prince 11-Sep
TV Land: Andy Griffith 11-Sep

IRON MAN hits theaters on May 2, 2008.

Thats AWESOME, except, Put it before a fake reality, bull shit, rich kid, crapfest like the Hills. I know Favreau didn't make the decision, BUT F U Viacom. 1 for making "The Hills", 2-for sullying Iron Man by putting his name in the same paragraph as The Hills. Couldn't they pair it up with Heroes, or BSG. The only reason I'm ranting is because those stupid Laguna Hills shows are the only thing worse than reality tv, AND the downfall of western civilization.

Why would any Fanboys be watching MTVs horrible show The Hills???!!!

What a waste of paid air time!!!

Note To Movie Executives:

Fanboys, the audience you want, watch shows like Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Smallville, 2 And A Half Men, Supernatural, Jericho, Lost...and Farscape. And this season, they'll be watching The Bionic Woman and Moonlight...but certainly not, The Hills...a joke of a show that shouldn't even be on the air in the first place!!!

Metalwater, get your ass kicking hat on, I'll pick you up and we'll go stomp some stupid Hollywood executive ass.
And we can stomp a mudhole out of the entire cast of the Hills. Whadya say.
F! the HILLS, F! Laguna Beach. All those stupid ass shit shows
metal water is correct The target demographic (even beyond fanboys) watch much better programming than these F-ing shit M-TV shows. Lets put the preview of The Dark Knight on during NEXT, or how about during Americas next top Model. F- YOU HOLLYWOOD!

They don't need to sell the hype to the fanboys. The fanboys are already following the hype. They need to reach the all holy 18-25 MTV demographic, most of whom are unfamiliar with the character.

You don't promote a product to people who are already interested, you promote a product to people who are unfamiliar with it.

Yeah yeah, Its all about the $$$
Still, F- LAGUNA HILLS! Fake reality shows are worse than real reality shows, and they aren't putting any spots on any shows I watch (I watch Daily show, but don't have cable right now) SO they are sticking it to the fans. Put some tv spots on during Simpsons, Bionic Woman, Heroes, Not just for the f-ers watching MTV. (why do they still call it MTV?)

People watching The Hills and Laguna Beach aren't coming to see this movie unless their boyfriends take them!!! Only immature little girls watch those shows!!!

MTV ought to be canceled as a network!!!

Hey Metalwater! I got your back, Homie! I
agree wholeheartedly: Can MTV! Why is it even called "MTV" anymore? Remember back in the day when it was a cool network and they actually played GOOD music videos?
Now, it just SUCKS!!!

the main chick from the Hills is hot!

On another subject but related. Doesn't Viacom own CBS and CW? They couldn't find a higher rated show than the Hills to place the clip in front of? No CSI, Smallville or the zillion of shows that those 2 networks have?
I get the fact that you have to promote to another audience, but come on, CSI alone has 5 times the viewers the Hills have.

back to the subject, the Hills girls is hot!

Yeah, she's hot, but this is dumb placement.

Its too bad the trailer couldn't be in front of a decent show. I guess people are jonesing a lot to see footage and they couldn't wait till primetime shows in late september.

And Gauleyboy, you are right. The Dark Knight would never be seen with such pathetic television. Wonder what Favreau is thinking.
