Yet another unexpected surprise for genre fans tonight. Apple Trailers has released the SDCC "Official" trailer sooner than previously expected. Officially, according to director Favreau, this trailer/footage wasn't supposed to be online until tonight at 10 EST. Apple, for reasons unknown, released it early. Director Jon Favreau promised this footage after the bootleg copy garnered so much attention from source sites like Youtube.

Listen, I don`t give a shit what anyone else says, that was freaking Cool!, with a capital "C". I for one thought that Iron Man music was perfect and if its not somewhere in the movie, I`d be a little disappointed. The F/X look great. Robert Downey Jr plays Tony Stark to the "T" and I just simply can`t wait for May 2nd.
This is going to be a year for genre flicks.

I liked it all the way up until he puts on the first Iron Suit...and Ozzy Osbourne music starts ruining the whole thing. It just comes off corny at that point.

After that, there is a cool shot of the red and gold Iron Man suit in motion and then flying amid chasing F-16 fighters. It look really good.

Note To Producers: Get rid of the Ozzy music please...and cut out some of the clumbsy flame throwing as Downey wears the original Grey suit...it just look bad. If you do that, you'll have a great clip!!!

That was absolutely awesome. The use of Sabbath was enjoyed by a lot of the older guys here at work, and it pulled quite a few people over to watch... I have absolute confidence in this flick.

The trailer was awesome.... the music (though I like) did indeed add a layer of Velveeta. Another vote to get rid of it.

The trailer is amazing, and while it may be cheesier than a national Velveeta fondue contest, I'd love to hear "Iron Man" (and the original, not some flavor of the month band's remake) blaring over the theater's speakers the first time he dons the suit.

The writers definitely did the right thing choosing Obadiah Stane over Mandarin for the villian. Iron Monger looks very menacing! I do hope though that Rhodie dons the War Machine garb!

I have to be honest here. I'm not a fan of the Iron Man comics but after seeing that trailer, I am JACKED up to see this movie.

It's great to see Robert Downey Jr. get back on the horse and fianlly land himself something as epic as this movie looks like it could be. I love the casting choice there.

It looks to me like the writers and directors have the origins right and I love the fact that they pay homage to the original look of Ironman suit and build upon it like they did in the comics.

May 2008 looks sweet. Too bad we have to wait that long

OK! Now that looks like a what a comic book movie is supposed to look like! If the rest of the movie stacks up to that footage this will be the Blockbuster Marvel Studios had been hoping for. Between this and Dark Knight - 2008 is going to be a memorable year for comic book fans! Hopefully Hulk is shaping up the same way!

I've purposely avoided seeing the bootleg versions of this so when I saw it offically it would have more impact. And it did! Wow, that was awesome! For people who know next to nothing of the character it gives them a good sense of what the movie will be all about.
Sabbath was perfect for it. It gave it that right amount of rock/MTV edge with a touch of humor.

I didn't really care too much about this movie. Until I saw the trailer OMG, that was great! Robert Downey is pulling off Stark well (so far). I liked the use of Sabbath personally. I liked the fact that when he flew he was a little wobbly. I'm guessing that was early on and he was still getting used to it, or it could deal with the fact that the suit wasn't extremely aerodynamic, a nice little touch. Good job so far!
