Helena Bonham Carter is Bellatrix Lestrange in next HARRY POTTER

Helena Bonham Carter has signed on to play Bellatrix Lestrange in the upcoming film HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Bellatrix Lestrange is Sirius Black's cousin and a Death Eater, or one of the evil Lord Voldemort's followers.

The film synopsis reads: With their warning about Lord Voldemort's return scoffed at, Harry and Dumbledore are targeted by the Wizard authorities as an authoritarian bureaucrat slowly seizes power at Hogwarts.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will all be back to reprise their roles as Harry, Ron and Hermione. Also signed on to reprise their roles are Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Brendan Gleeson, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Emma Thompson, Julie Walters, David Thewlis, Fiona Shaw, Richard Griffiths, David Bradley, Robert Hardy and Mark Williams. HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX will be released on July 13, 2007.
