What They Say
The Hellsing Soundtrack Vol. 1 embodies the gritty gothic atmosphere of the hit anime series and delivers 20 tracks of the coolest, high-gear frenzy garage band sounds and edgy instrumental cuts ever heard on an anime CD. In fact, the Anime New Network raved: "Musically, Hellsing excels like few other anime can. Giving Cowboy Bebop a run for its money, Hellsing's score features no end of rockin,' memorable tunes, with nary a J-pop bubblegum track to be found."
Available for the first time as a domestic anime CD release, this release also features the popular English language ending song "Shine" by Mr. Big!

The Review!
4 out of 5
Music found in the Anime series Hellsing.

This CD comes with an insert jammed full of eye pleasing entertainment. It is an Ten-page extravaganza of colors. It contains the usual song tittle list and English lyrics to the songs contained on the CD, but it also has something a little bit more. Each page contains a picture of a character and a few scenes that corresponds to them, as well as a listing of that characters name. The pages with lyrics also have a small set of pictures that show the recording session of that song. Very colorful, and very eye-catching.

This one was hard to put down in to a particular type of music. It had elements of punk, rock, and elements of Seventies classic bands. I finally nailed it down as what you would get if you took the music and lyrics of an Eighties Garage Punk band and gave it all to Led Zeppelin to play. Don’t get me wrong, the sound is really good, and it most certainly keeps your attention throughout, it was just a different sound. It most definitely captured the almost inhuman feel that occasionally pops up in the Hellsing series. The music itself delivers a great punch of sound that just keeps the listener reeling for hours to come. I enjoyed every moment of it, sometimes getting so wrapped up in the suspense presented by the music, I forgot where I was. Most interestingly played out, and an eclectic tour of sound

I'd have to say that this CD is well worth the time to listen. It gets to you in the first few bars and keeps you entertained.

Fangboy says…this one is certainly a fav, and will continue to be played.
