Last week it was Carrie-Anne Moss who joined the cast of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3. Today it's Kenneth Branagh (HENRY V) who has accepted the impossible task.

Branagh's best-known accomplishments are probably his film adaptations of William Shakespeare plays (MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, HAMLET, LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST and the aforementioned HENRY V). In 2002 he starred as Professor Gilderoy Lockhart in HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS. Branagh's role in M:I 3 remains unknown; no one knows if he's playing a good or bad guy -- well, except for Branagh and Tom Cruise, that is.

Filming on the third MISSION IMPOSSIBLE should commence in June. Director Joe Carnahan (NARC) is still with the project.
