Alien Isolation arrives in late 2014.
A new trailer has arrived and it looks like ground we have all treaded before. Yes, there is a new Alien game coming in later half of 2014. We have all been burned by games based on Ridley Scott’s movie Alien before. Will this one be any good? Only time will tell.

Synopsis: Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger. Fifteen years after the events of Alien™, Ellen Ripley's daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother's disappearance.
As Amanda, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien. Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.

there was an old alien vs predator 1st person shooter out a long time ago that was one of the scariest games ever played in a darkened room, speakers on high, and all alone.... damn... can they recapture that?

This looks really good so far. I'm curious what the action/combat mechanics will be like. The sets and atmosphere look superior so far even better than dead space!

I was all excited for Aliens: Colonial Marines... and it sucked ass.  Graphics and clipping errors, gameplay errors, ridiculously bad AI, inexcusably bad graphics (the game looked ca. 1998)... the list goes on.  I will not be giving Sega any more of my money just because they hold the license to a franchise that was tailor made for video games.  F*&% you, Sega.

There haven't been very many GOOD Alien games developed. I'm really hoping they nail this one! I'm worried about the gameplay. I hope its not too objective driven and has some kinda wonky play scheme that loses my interest.
