Ant-Man Release Date Change

Summer of 2015

A little late on this one Maniacs, but regardless there has been a release date change on Ant-Man.  The Edgar Wright adaptation of Marvel’s tiniest Avenger has jumped from the fall of 2015 to the Summer of 2015. That’s right, Ant-Man is now slated to arrive just a few months after Avengers: Age of Ultron. The new official release date is July 31, 2015.

This is great for Wright’s production as it can only benefit from the hype and tidal wave that will be Joss Whedon’s sequel. It will also have the hype of Comic Con and will probably premiere there as well.

Who do you think will play Ant-Man? Who will be his main villain? Will Ant-Man appear at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron?

Please, Please, Please!! Wedon, you have to throw in Ant-Man/Hank Pym at end of A:AOU.  This way he can spend his movie making the Vision.  This would be awesome.  Specially coming off the heals of Avengers!!!

I'm with Eldogg^^^.  He needs to make a cameo (and I totally expect that he will, since Joss is all about tying the movies together).

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I'd love to see Nathan Fillion come in as Hank Pym.  He can do the action, but also do humor and drama.  Plus, we all know he's friends with Joss.

Main villains could be Titania and Absorbing Man?  The Grim Reaper (which allows them to also bring in/cameo Simon Williams)?  Radioactive Man, Whirlwind, or someone else from the Masters of Evil?

Personally, I'm still hoping that for Avengers 3 they'll bring in some version of the Masters of Evil.

Come on, Vision will be created in A:AOU...

Who is this Hank Pym of which you speak?  It's all about the RDJ.  Vision will be created by Tony Stark/Jarvis-but he'll go by the name Ultron first.  Let me explain

He'll be Ultron's twin brother, (In a Gollum/Smeagol sort of split personallity) and when the Avengers beat Ultron, but not destroy him, Ultron, with his Gollum side destroyed, will slink off and later become the Vision.  In Avengers 3: Revenge of the Babysat.

Totally leaving Pym out of any future Avengers project, because honestly.  Who needs Pym when you have Stark?

Sorry.  Just trying to think like a Hollywood executive here.  Without polar bears and spiders of course.

...I have no idea what that is even about DarkXid, but it tickled me.  As for the topic at hand, I'm just shocked and amazed that Edgar Wright is getting a movie out SOONER than promised.

I was kind of "whatever" about this movie until I saw that test footage. I was concerned about how Ant Man's abilities would play on screen. It was pretty damn cool.

I think it is more likely that Stark creates Ultron as his replacement for SHIELD. Ultron becomes self-aware, thinks humanity is a waste, doesn't like the idea of JARVIS being a digital servant to a human and decides to give JARVIS a mind and body of his own. Ultron also has maternal instincts and wants to feel the power of creating life hence the creation of VISION with the AI of JARVIS made self-aware as well. And we finally get Paul Bettany with a physical presence as he sent by Ultron to kill the Avengers. He would be perfect for VISION and I think it is time he gets a little more due for his role as JARVIS. He gets taken down by the group, temporarily incapacitated until after the credits where we see Hank Pym making some modifications to him so that he joins the Avengers as a hero.
