In what universe is this show a good idea? Who's the audience? I swear sometimes it feels like no one is home in Hollywood...

I really have big hopes for this show. Mainly, because the exec producer is Bryan Fuller who knows fantasy and sci-fi and gave us the great show "Pushing Daisies" a few years ago. If he is going for the same feel as that show which was magical, romantic, tragic, and humorous it will be great. Look for clips of Pushing Daisies on youtube if you are not familiar.

From the descriptions I've read of the show, Herman isn't supposed to be a big lumbering fellow like Gwynne's (or John Schuck or Edward Hermann, who have also played the character in other remakes over the years). He's supposed to be kind of a decaying zombie kind of creature who keeps having to replace his body parts. This will contrast with his wife Lily who will be some type of fairy who is immortal, which sets up the tragic romance of their relationship.

 Jerry OConnell has fans?  When did this happen?  I've never heard of anyone saying "Man, I'm really glad Jerry OConnell is in this movie."  I thought Jerry OConnell was dead after his pipi got eaten by a pirahna.

Monkeyfoot, I agree although I don't have high hopes.  Interesested in checking it out casue of Bryan Fuller.

I have always been a fan of Jerry OConnell but the poor guy seems to have pretty bad luck with keeping a show going since Sliders. I think he needs a new agent LOL.

 Wow.  What inspired casting.  The guy who tried to save his career by going on the Bachelor. Now famous for a fish eating his severed penis.  

Maybe we should remake Jerry O'Connell's "My Secret Identity" TV series...bwahahahaha

 Why are there so many successful and untalented brothers and sisters in the film biz?  It is like our US Presidents...we can't seem to break away from really bad dynasties.  Are people that stupid?  Wait...never mind.  

Brad Garrett was born to play Herman Munster in a remake. I won't say Jerry O'Connell can't do it, but he sure isn't my 1st choice. Hey why don't they cast Jerry O'Connell's brother Charlie to play the Role... he's bigger and dorkier LOL
