Hero Stamps

We have not been able to officially confirm this scoop, but here is what a Cinescape visitor wrote us about some upcoming comic book hero stamps:
According to the August issue of Linn's Stamp News, the Post Office is issuing a series of stamps in 2006 featuring DC Super Heroes. The 20 stamps will feature Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Hawkman, Supergirl, and Plastic Man. Each hero will be on two stamps, featuring different poses. The stamps will be released in conjunction with a major comic convention. Marvel Heroes will be in a series of 2007 stamps.
There is no mention of this on the U.S. Post Office's release schedule, yet, so keep your eyes peeled for more news and updates on the subject.
(They are announcing Muppets stamps for late Setember 2005.)
