Marvel's Marketing Communications Manager Bill Rosemann recently issued a press release listing even more contributors to the publisher's upcoming New York City benefit book, HEROES.
"With the art flying in as fast as we can hang it up on our own Wall of Honor, I thought you'd like an update on who is contributing to Heroes, our tribute book to those who proved their amazing bravery during the terrible tragedy of September 11th," said Rosemann.
"Recent additions include Carlos Pacheco, Salvador Larroca, Art Thibert, Bob Layton, Phil Hester, Jose Villarubia, Tom Palmer, Jim Krueger, Dale Keown, Tom Raney, and Joe Madueria. And yesterday Joe Quesada told me that the WATCHMEN team of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons have reunited on their own contribution! I apologize if I've repeated names or left anyone off, but this place is like Grand Central Station at rush hour!"
Rosemann also provided two new pin-ups that will be featured in the book - an "incredible" Hulk piece by Dale Keown, and a "truly inspiring" painting from Tom Palmer.
HEROES is a 64-page, full-color, perfect-bound poster book that will go on sale on October 17 for $3.50, of which at least $3.00 from every issue sold will go to various charities, including the Widow's & Children's Fund of the New York Police Department, the Widow's & Children's Fund of the New York Fire Department, and the American Red Cross.
