High School of the Dead Dub Gets Debut Date

Fans of High School of the Dead are getting closer to its release as The Anime Network has announced the premiere date for the English language dub. The dubbed version of the series will premiere on March 10th on their Cable/Satellite On Demand service with a new dubbed episode appearing every week thereafter. 

"The moment many of you have been waiting for is finally here: This March, the High School of the Dead (aka HOTD) English dub will premiere on Anime Network Video On Demand! The highly acclaimed zombie survival anime will now be available with English voiceovers from some of the top voice actors in the business, ONLY on Anime Network VOD. Plot summary: From Director Tetsuro Araki (Deathnote, Black Lagoon), and adapted from the highly successful manga of the same name by Daisuke Sato, comes one of the hottest new shows of the Summer, High School of the Dead. A deadly new disease is ravaging the world, turning the populace into mindless zombies, and the number of infected is skyrocketing by the second. As their fellow classmates and teachers succumb to the infection around them, a small group of students at Fujimi High School are fighting for their lives after surviving the initial outbreak. It is up to Takashi Komuro to unite the group of weary survivors and try to escape the horrors that surround them. In this new world of the living dead...will they escape?

And by "HIGHLY ACCLAIMED;" they mean that "(fanservicy T&A zombie-killing) - plot = popularity."

Hey.  Not everything that features a cute, butt-wiggling girl or four is pure WIN.  :(

I'm with scdrapped aeon I want a dvd release date. I have been waiting for this one to come down thye pike.

 Actually they mean highly acclaimed as in it got good reviews.  The show actually has a very strong plot and strong characters behind it.  HOTD is more than a fan service show, though it definitely has that in it's bag as well.

while it is true that HSOTH has its fair share of fanservice, it also has some compelling parts as well. one of the scenes that made my girlfriend gasp, was when the main character was watching (with binoculars) a father with his little girl begging for help at a house, I wont spoil it for anyone,  but I am hoping for a blu-ray release,
