What They Say
The moron group faces the danger of breaking up as they embark on their school trip to Okinawa. Also, the groups' own Celeb Club takes their moronic level a notch higher as they try to figure out how to get guys. Plus, Eriko fears of losing her genius brain, and an episode that centers on the friendship of Himeji and Ogawa-chan.

The Review
After a year off the girls of Yamasaki Fuji Girls High are back and the best of bishojo comedy has returned with a new look in more ways than one. The obvious changes are cosmetic. DrMaster has decided to change the packaging designs to correspond with the new designs Futabasha has employed for their re-release prints of this popular series. These new covers feature great art from the original artist Oshima Towa on front, back and yes the new French flaps!! This one features Suzuki Momoka, younger bratty sister of Original Baka Brigade member Suzuki Yuna. Nothing beats a squatting bishojo and kanji!! Inside the character art is now mainly done by Ohshima Tomo and he does a great job maintaining Towas sense of style and form. I think his style is better (he is credited with the costume work) but in the end it is Towa who does the inking on all of her faces.

This volume has more of the same you have come to love from this series. Each chapter is either filled with ero-scented sexual innocence or girl's locker room humor. Page 40 basically sums up what I mean in a single panel. Ayano is topless wearing nothing but a moisturizing facemask, hair removal cream in her pits and forearms, a vibrating ab belt and two huge Cool-whip dollops of nipple cream!! All done for her man?EShimotakatani-kuuuuun!! I didn't know whether to have a nose-bleed or just bust a gut.

After such a long break, I found the main theme for this installment quite apropos. The girls are beginning to question if their precious Baka Brigade will break up. The girls begin to realize that they have do have things in common with members of other clubs and other cliques. And as young people tend to do, some of the girls have begun to experiment with new people. They are testing the waters with different clans and most of them come to the conclusion that they actually do have things in common with the freaks, geeks, jocks and idols of the school world. But for poor average Jane Erika and super-freak Kouda they don't have anyone to hook up with and actually right now they could use some friends.

HGS at its best is hands down the funniest manga in English currently running. And even when it doesn't try it is one of the more etchi manga as well. Easily a must by for everyone man, woman, yuri and loser fan boy!
