So to own, this would mean Hikaru No Go would be $149.25 and MAR would be 103.48.

yea give me a break!!!!.just but all on a dvd collection under $50.00 and they will sell.this is just another way to get to the heart of the matter in why now do they offer this when they clearly cut the dvd production some years ago.I WILL ALSO PASS AND WAIT FOR THE DVD COLLECTION TO COME IF EVER.

How about at least finishing the DVD run of Hikaru No Go?  I'm pretty sure I've spent more than $150 on those discs.  And it kills me that I can't complete it.  Streaming is nice, but I'd really like to have them in my hands dub/sub'ed.

I'm like DustoMan and have all the DVDs that Viz released. Since Viz has already dubbed all of the episodes, I wish they could do some sort of limited edition release. I would be willing to pay a premium price to complete the DVD set.

I'm excited about finally getting to watch Hikaru no Go Episodes 46-75 dubbed.

But as for MAR.....

"The complete series for MÄR (Episodes 1-52)"

MAR Episode 52 is not the end of the anime, they still need to DUB Episodes 53-102.

The part of this article that says MAR and Hikaru No Go will also be available on PSN is incorrect. All that is on PSN is MAR. Hikaru No Go  is nowhere to be found.

For those who are waiting for a DVD collection, it is most likely pointless. It is cheaper for them to just release them digitally, which is why they are doing so in the first place. In the end, the price will be cheaper than actually buying DVDs, since DVDs are usually 15-20 for single discs, which contain a max of 5-6 episodes, most of the time. MAR is $103.48 exactly on PSN, since they don't use tax and Hikaru no Go is $149.25 exactly, since there is no tax on PSN. It would be 11.94 for 6 episodes, which is what would normally be on a DVD. If a DVD with this many episodes is sold, which would normally happen with Viz releases like this, it would be cheaper to get the episodes invidivually electronically than to buy a single volume DVD. If the old volumes are re-printed, they would be normal price, rather than the $3-5 the old copies, that may not work, would cost. Electronically downloaded files are guaranteed to work, unlike used copies for cheap prices and they would end up being cheaper to buy than re-printed DVDs, since it is doubtful that they would risk trying to make a boxset and it not sell enough to make their money back. It would be too risky for them, especially now with not as many new fans coming in due to less anime on TV in America.
