I would have added Friday the 13th the tv series. Yeah it never made it to the big time but it was pretty good IMO plus I use to love Louise Robey, she was so sexy. And it did last for 3 full seasons, not bad by today's standards.

I agree Wiseguy.  Robey was so sexy, unlike anyone else I had seen on TV at the time.  It shows how memorable she was when you consider she only has 4 credited titles on her acting resume.  Come back Robey!  We miss you!  I'm not sure why I keep thinking this was an early Fox program, but it was syndicated.  Maybe it played on our Fox station during those hours when Fox didn't have enough programming to fill a full schedule.

Other than that, this was a good list and walk down memory lane.

When I saw the picture of Elvira, I thought the article was going to focus more on the old school horror movie hosts that used to present horror movies.  While Elvira her predecessor, Vampira, were nationally known, there were hosts all across the country that were specific to certain regions.  I know in Wisconsin there was a guy named Toolouse NoNeck that used to host "Shock Theater" when I was a kid.  I seem to remember him being dressed up to look kind of like Cousin It from the Addams family.

I too thought we were going to be reading about horror movie hosts.  Our local horror host for years was named Count Gregor.  I remember staying up late on Fridays just to watch him.  He was such cheesy fun.  He dressed in a Dracula cape, but had a full head of white hair and goatee.  His sidekicks ranged from a monkey, to the creepy.  We also had another called Uncle Murph's Playhouse.  It was set up like a TV talk show and they would make fun of the schlock they were playing.  There was a point that I wanted to grow up and be this type of host.  Good times.

BTW, has anyone heard of this movie Priest?  For some reason it just keeps sticking in my mind.  It is like it is constantly just right there.

Ah, late night movie hosts.  Columbus had Fritz the Night Owl.  Just a normal looking dude with giant sunglasses like Elton John would have worn.  They made him look owl-ish.

Priest?  Why does that sound familiar?

I remember the old movie host days too, I just for the life of me can't seem to remember the name of the guy from Cleveland. Although his show was on Saturday afternoon I remember my dad would watch it all the time. The only thing I remember about the guy was that he dressed up like a super hero that and for some reason I think he looked sorta like the guy from Operation. I remember he loved playing monster movies and occationally he'd play a Godzilla movie.

FYI, the babe actress Louise Robey is also a singer.  She also does photography.  Go to youtube to see interviews with her as well as to see episodes of Friday the 13th the Series and hear her music.
