Sean Bean is good actor, but they did this movie like 5 or 6 times already. The one that come to mind was with Paul Walker and that annoying Zahn guy. Oh and I think Leelee Sobieski was in it too. "____ Ride" Anyway, it sucked.

I like Bean, he is very underrated, but I'm not sure he can be a menacing enough psycho. The original was perfected by Rutger and will be hard to top. That was a good movie at the time and it still holds up well. Watching the trailer, it appears that they have tried to keep it gritty and that may be it's only hope.
I don't have a link on my screen, so here is one:

The original was great because it was an original, Now I don't mind remakes as long as they change it up a little bit and I have to say after seeing this trailer that it seems as though it was made almost frame for frame as the original, even the action sequences look as if they have not changed. Sure it starts off differently with the guy and girl starting off this trip together than them meeting up later in the story line like in the first movie but it all seems to be exactly like the first movie. It is for all purposes just a trailer and does not show much, so will see.

Here's another movie that I don't think needs to be remade. Hauer was amazing, and the movie was original and scary.

That said, the trailer looks good; and I'll probably check it out.

I personally enjoy when they keep it the same as the orginal. WHY BOTHER MAKING A REMAKE WHEN YOU CHANGE THE WHOLE DAM STORY AND ACTION AND EVERYTHING AROUND? STUPID !

The orginal was great and will always be king but i will go see this one it looks good and they kept it close to the orginal . Sean Bean rocks and he pulls off the bad guy great.

Did anyone ever watch the oh so wonderfully craptacular sequel, The Hitcher II, with C Thomas and Son of Busey.
Now that was an unnecessary sequel, if I've ever seen one.
