Hitch's AUTHORITY Farewell
By: Rob AllstetterDate: Tuesday, August 21, 2001
Before he joins Mark Millar on Marvel's ULTIMATES title, artist Bryan Hitch will have one last AUTHORITY story.
Hitch is drawing - and writing - the lead story for THE AUTHORITY: WIDESCREEN special, a 48-page one-shot which arrives in November from WildStorm Productions and DC Comics.
Hitch's story is 18 pages. It features Jenny Sparks and Jenny Quantum and is called "The Man with the Quantum Brain."
"Lots of cool gargantuan action, explosions and cities toppling," editor John Layman says. "Just what you would expect from Bryan Hitch and THE AUTHORITY."
The book will also include a 12-page story, "Two Dangerous Ideas," featuring Apollo, Midnighter, Daylighter and Pluto, by Tom Peyer and Cary Nord; and a double-page "widescreen" pin-up gallery by Jose Ladronn, Jim Lee, Michael Golden, Matt Wagner, John Cassaday, Seth Fisher, Gene Ha and Kyle Baker.
