The official Hobbit Facebook page has posted a new deleted scene from the upcoming extended cut of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. This new cut of the film promises 25 additional minutes where we get to see the further adventures of Bilbo Baggins and the Dwarves.

I never bought the extended of the first one.  I LOVE the extended versions if LOTR.  In fact I won't even look at the originals, but these Hobbit movies are just no where near as good.  Please someone tell me the extended was worth it and maybe I'll change my mind.

 I think they're as good or better when I watch LOTR I usually skip the Ford scenes cause they're boring. Haven't done that yet with the Hobbit.

I just can't justify spending that kind of money after purchasing the movie the was first released. If they wanted me to see this footage, they should have put it in the first release

They don't want you to see it.  they want people to buy both.  You aren't one of those people.

I own the extended edition of the first one.  Honestly, there is only 15 minutes of extra footage and it neither adds or takes away from the movie.  HOWEVER, the behind the scenes stuff makes up for the lost footage.  If you enjoyed the Appendices on LOTR extended editions you'll appreciate them on the Hobbit.
